Heather Walsh MSN, RN, PCNS-BC, CHSE, CPN, Simulation Program Manager 

As a new grad, I never would have seen myself as an educator or in simulation, but here I am! I knew I wanted to be a nurse when I was 11 years old and grew to love education when I became a preceptor early in my career.

I personally benefited from the mentorship of some wise experienced nurses who led me to some wonderful opportunities. I began mentoring nurses as a unit-based educator and quickly realized it was my favorite part of my job! I really enjoy mentoring nurses as a chance to give back to the profession and to connect nurses with opportunities that may interest them. 

I married my college sweetheart and we have 2 daughters who keep us on our toes. I’m a huge Washington Capitals fan and enjoy spending time with my family.
