Peer Mentoring (for clinical nurses)
Peer mentoring program for clinical nurses who are seeking to improve communication skills, interpersonal relationships, work-life balance, etc. Peer mentoring is readily available and often an untapped resource within clinical nursing environments. It allows peers to build a reciprocal relationship that can be used to foster personal growth, engage nurses in professional development, enhance frontline nurse leadership skills, and improve nurse job satisfaction.
Eligibility for Peer Mentors:
- Registered Nurses
- 1 year clinical experience or more
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Successful completed of Mentor Workshop
Eligibility for Peer Mentees:
- Registered Nurses
- Successful completion of introductory probationary period
Peer mentoring pairs will be matched or self-selected through collaboration with the manager, educator, mentor, and mentee. Mentees may self-select a peer mentor from their clinical area. Peer Mentors will be identified by clinical area manager/designee. The pairing must be approved by the unit/department manager.

- Professional growth and experience
