The Children's National Global Child Health Course directors are excited to present the inaugural programming of our online course. While we encourage all local residents to participate in person, we recognize this is often difficult with schedules. We also welcome learners from across the country and globe. The learning objectives below are targeted to the residency level, however content is appropriate for medical students, residents, and practicing clinicians.
Overall Objectives
- Prepare participants for future international elective experiences or work in low and middle income country settings
- Examine global health issues including health care delivery, policy, disease management and resource allocation
- Recognize, diagnose and manage common illnesses and diseases seen outside the U.S.
- Provide exposure to local health care professionals working in the fields of global health research, policy and clinical care
The completion of this course counts towards Children's National's resident global health pathway and certificate completion.
