Laos: Health Frontiers, an American NGO, supports Pediatric Residency Training for Lao physicians. For information on doing an elective in Laos, visit the Health Frontiers website, or contact Melanie Anspacher, Laos Project Director.
Roatan: Rotations in Roatan at the Clinica Esperanza or Roatan Volunteer Pediatric Clinic through Dr. Kristen Breslin. See Roatan Rotation Summary in folder below for more information and language skill requirements.
Baylor Pediatric AIDS Corp: Opportunities for international electives are available at various sites through the Baylor Pediatric AIDS Initiative. Please contact BIPAI Alum/Mentors Dr. Kathy Ferrer or Dr. Lineo Thahane for more information.
Thailand: An elective in Chiang Saen, Thailand includes both clinical experience at a local hospital and volunteer work with an organization dedicated to victims of child trafficking. Contact Dr. Dafina Good. See Thailand Elective document in folder below for more information on this rotation.
India: Elective opportunities at various academic centers in India can be arranged with the supervision of Dr. Nalini Singh.
Philippines: Residents can rotate at the The Philippine General Hospital, a 102-year old national tertiary referral center and teaching hospital of University of Philippines Manila. Interested residents can contact Dr. Nathalie Quion.

Project Medi-Share: Several CNMC pediatric residents and faculty have joined a team from GWU to provide health care in Haiti through Project Medi-Share. Please contact Dr. Jeremy Kern if you would like more information on this experience or the GWU International Office for information on upcoming missions.

Angkor Hospital for Children: Siem Reap, Cambodia
Child Family Health International (CFHI): Offers socially responsible Global Health Education Programs for students of all levels interested in health or medicine. Through CFHI participants go on 4-16 week placements alongside local healthcare professionals in underserved communities.
Concern America:International Health Immersion Program working with community-based health workers in rural Guatemala.

Health Volunteers Overseas has various opportunities for pediatric resident rotations that provide adequate structure and supervision in Malawi, Nicaragua, Uganda and St. Lucia.
